Adding Images
- Navigate to the Resource (Document/Page) you would like to edit.
- Scroll down to the "Resource Content" box. This is the box that contains the main information of your page, such as text, images, and links.

- Click in the exact location you would like your image/picture to show up, such as at the end of a paragraph or at the bottom of the page.
- Now that the blinking cursor is in the correct spot where you want your image to show up, click the image icon
at the top of the Resource Content box. This will open up the Insert/Edit Image box. - To add an image that is already on the internet, fill in the Image URL with the URL of the image (example: http://flickr.com/images/coolpicture.jpg). An image URL will always end with an image extension, such as .jpg, .gif, or .png. Do not add in a URL that ends in .html or .php or .asp as these are regular URL's NOT image URL's.
- If you want to add a picture or image from your computer, click the icon next to the Image URL field. It looks like this

- In the new window that pops up, you will see a list of all the images on the server. You can select one of those or click “BROWSE” at the bottom to upload an image from your computer.
- After clicking BROWSE, locate the image or picture on your computer, then click OPEN and then click UPLOAD (bottom-right corner of the window).
- Your picture will now be listed among the other pictures on the server. Scroll through and find the picture you just uploaded. When you've found it, click on it.
- Go back to the original “Add Image” window that popped up (it might be hiding behind another window on your computer, but it's still open), and you will see a preview of the picture in the preview window.
- Give the image a short description by filling in the IMAGE DESCRPTION field.
- Now you can either click INSERT at the bottom of the window or click the APPEARANCE tab to edit how your picture appears on the page.
- If you click the APPEARANCE tab, you will see some options that affect how the picture displays on your web page.
- ALIGNMENT is important because it can improve how your picture fits on the page. Choose LEFT or RIGHT to align the picture left or right. This allows the text and other content on the page to wrap around the picture.
- DIMENSIONS allows you to change the size of the picture. Always keep the CONSTRAIN PROPORTIONS box checked so the proportion of the image is not altered.
- To add a little bit of “cushion” around the picture, you can add VERTICAL SPACE or HORIZONTAL SPACE. I recommend you put the number 5 in the HORIZONTAL SPACE box if you are aligning the image left or right. Add the number 5 to VERTICAL SPACE as well to add cushion to the top and bottom of the picture.
- If you want to give your picture a border, you can add a number to the BORDER box. Start with 1 and go up from there if you want a thicker border.
- Click INSERT to insert the picture onto the page.
- You'll now see the Resource content box with all the content of that page plus the picture you just inserted.
- If you need to change the size of the picture, just click on it once, then click and drag a corner of the picture to change the size.
- When you are done making all your page changes, click SAVE near the top of the page.
