Using Doc Manager
The Doc Manager is useful if you need to make changes to your pages/resources in bunches, such as changing the template for several pages in your site in one convenient step. Here is what you can accomplish using Doc Manager.
- Change Template
- Apply Template Variables to Resources
- Change Document Permissions
- Sort Menu Items (this sorts the menu order on the front end, not in your Modx manager site tree)
- Set Document Publish/Unpublish Dates
- Miscellaneous Document Settings
- Set Authors and Editors
Basically, changing settings using Doc Manager is the same process regardles of the setting you are choosing:
- To get to Doc Manager in your Modx manager, click the MODULES tab then click DOC MANAGER.
- Choose a tab for the settings you want to change.
- Change the settings by selecting one of the various options, such as clicking the button next to a new template.
- Now that you have the settings in place, specify which documents to apply those settings to by filling in the box underneath "Specify a Range of Document IDs". Use the help key provided for instructions on how to specifiy the range of documents you wish to edit.
- Click SUBMIT.
